Chai matcha latte

VEGAN – GLUTEN FREE – OIL FREE – SOY FREE

We love this drink after an intense workout because it fights oxidative stress caused by exercise. Plus, the matcha tea gives a little energy lift as a bonus!

PREP: 3 MINUTES – COOKING: 5 MINUTES – PORTIONS: 1

INGREDIENTS
1¼ cup almond milk
1 tsp matcha tea
½ tsp cinnamon
1/8 tsp nutmeg
1/8 tsp cloves
½ star anise (optional)

PREPARATION
  1. Put all ingredients in a saucepan and whisk continuously while you heat to not quite boiling (you should see small bubbles starting to form around the edges of the pan).
  2. Remove from heat and pour into a mug. You can serve immediately or, if you have a cappuccino machine, place the mug under the steam attachment for a few seconds to create a foamy drink.
